Tupilak (or Tupilaq)figures were carved by the Greenlandic Inuit to seek out and destroy specific enemies. Although originally fashioned from impermanent materials such as skin and hair, modern Tupilaks are generally carved from sperm whale teeth or more recently from caribou antler. Most Tupilaks are unsigned.
